Drivel 3

Well, I had to check the spelling on "drivel" and now that I have that straight I can do it properly.
To check off my "to do " list -

• I re-arranged the rec room (oh that wasn't on the list)
• and straightened up the laundry room (not on list either)
• and re-arranged and tidied the pantry (not on the list)
• and re-arranged the appliances on the kitchen counter - moved the microwave (not on the list but it looks prettier)
• and we brought in the trim boards and carried them down to be painted (not on list either)
• and made roast beast and mashed potatoes for supper (not on list either).

So today is basketball day. Al is taking Joey to Bawlf to watch Julia play... then I will pick up Lissi, Josh, Kelly and Shawn from Rosalind, take Kelly and Shawn to Bawlf and pick up Joey ... then Josh, Joey and Lissi and I will continue to Ryley for Lissi's game there. [There is a bit of creativity driven by the desire to not use the van - conserve energy and reduce fuel costs!]These are finals for both girlies so the basketball season will be done by tomorrow evening. I know how much they love it ... but it does tire them out too - so the rest will be appreciated I think as well.

Joey can hardly wait to go... he is asking if its time to go every few minutes. Its nice that he is old enough to appreciate these outings and manageable enough to make it pleasant for his Dad and I! He's a honey!
One other tidbit of trivia... Shawn lost a tooth last Friday and has been working on its neighbour all week. Yesterday morning it was still too tight for me to pull out. But this morning he had pulled out not one but TWO teeth. The baby tooth which was preparing to exit his mouth was found and another trophy - the one beside last week's exorcising - root and all. We now have to remind him that he is NOT a dentist before he physically removes every tooth in his mouth. Goodness! What a guy!
I guess I should get off the duffer again and get cracking.
